Travel Advice & Tips
Monaco might as well be a synonym for money. This country, which has a total area of less than 2 square miles, spews money unlike anywhere else. With a population of 38 thousand people, which is only 3 thousand more people than the college I went to, 1 in 3 is a millionaire (Wealth Insight). Every other car you see will be a Lamborghini and parked along the docks are yachts owned by people who use their 500 foot boat once a year. While the yachts may not get used, they still need to stay clean, so you will always see full time paid staff not only working on each boat but living on it year round too.
It is hard to deny, the city is absolutely gorgeous. It is called “The City on a Rock” because it was literaly built on the edge of a cliff. Unless you have a Rolls Royce to drive around in, I recommend bringing sneakers because these is one steep city. I had the lucky chance to visit Monaco twice, and both time it was heavenly.
