Hungary

Some of the best food I have had in Europe, has been in Hungary. It didn’t matter if it was a high end restaurant or a food stand on the street, everything I ate was filled with such flavor.

Some must see pit stops in Budapest include the Hunagarian Outdoor Market, The Parliament Building, Buda Castle, Szechenyi Chain Bridge (which is lit up at night), Heroes Square, and the Budapest Baths. I recommend wearing comfy shoes as this city is surprisingly hilly in certain sections, and getting from point A to point B can be a hike.

The Baths:

Not only are you in for a very relaxing day, but the interior architecture and layout is gorgeous. If you are unsure which one to go to, definitely do some research as each one has a unique and different offering. During my trip, I visited Szechenyi Baths, which was built in 1913 and is one of the biggest in the city. Depending on the package you choose, you can have access to a private rooftop section which includes a bar, food, and private beds or hammocks to lay out on. During your visit you can pop in and out of cold pools, hot pools, saunas, steam rooms, or head in for a massage. With many of these pools being over 100 years old, it really is a unique experience that you cannot get anywhere else. During my stay here, I decided to splurge and do the more expensive package, which provided the VIP room (including the bar, food, and hammocks). If you are not one to swim but still want to see the baths, guided tours are also available!
